The judges will be looking for the best dancing with your partner ('cause it's a partner dance), dancing with the music (musicality) and that special pizzazz that makes you stand out in the crowd.
All competitors must either hold a full weekend package (with or without classes) or be an instructor at AIW4 in order to compete in any match.
The Relative Placement System will be used to determine Finalists and Champions.
Preliminary rounds will be danced in an all-skate format. All final rounds will be danced in a combined all-skate and spotlight format to DJed music.
Cash prizes will be awarded to the Champions; the amount is proportional to the number of competitors in each match.
Decorative, colourful and/or vintage attire is not mandatory, but it greatly enhances the way you look while you are competing, and we strongly encourage it.

Maybe you've rarely or never competed before! Or does the idea of competing at a more major competition like Lindybout scare you? No need to be intimidated, this Jack and Jill requires your energy and excitement... and we're keeping all the Harlem Hot Shots out of this competition category.

Everlast Jack and Jill

Got what it takes to get bragging rights as the best lead or follow in Alberta? This competition is for you. Oriented towards true competitors (including performers, instructors, or experienced dancers), this is the Jack and Jill competition in Lindy Hop of the likes you've never seen. Enter today!
Medium Interregional

We want everyone and their dog to enter into this comp. This is a great competition to enter with a person you are comfortable dancing with, and gives you the chance to pull out awesome moves and variations you've been dieing to show off! Get into the finals, and you'll become the pride of Alberta.
Fast-Slow Couples

Can you take it fast? And can you milk it slow? If your answer is yes, and you have a partner, then enter this competition in a spectacular showcase of prairie swing dance talent. Do it for the excellent prize.
DJ Battle
On Friday night, we will be holding a battle royale featuring some of the best DJs in Edmonton, Calgary and Saskatoon! The name of the game is head-to-head, with DJs trading off pairs of songs in three heated 40-minute sets! Audience applause is going to determine our winner (or winners), so if someone's music gets you whirling on the dance floor, make sure to cheer loud!
